June is one of the quieter months in my concert calendar. It seems that the majority of bands either don’t kick it into high gear until July, or they don’t visit my area until that time. I’ll be seeing 38 Special on June 12 at the Dakota Magic Casino and the next day it’s Boston and Styx in Hinckley, Minnesota. I’m in the 7th row on the center floor for the .38 Special show, but things are still uncertain for Hinckley, which is actually sold out. The Boston fan site, located at Gonnahitcharide.com, offers 60 preferred tickets for each venue, but apparently the Grand Casino did not honor its contract, and so we are left without tickets. They are still hording a ton of great seats in the first 10 rows for their high rollers, and I’m hoping they will eventually be forced to release them to the general public.
On June 21 I’m heading to West Fargo for the Dokken, Blue Oyster Cult, and Slaughter show. Dokken is one of my favorites and the other two will be fun to see as well.
