In 2007, 80s rockers Great White made a big comeback with their first album in 8 years titled Back to the Rhythm, a 25th anniversary world tour that carried into 2008, and a re-uniting of the classic line-up: Jack Russell, Michael Lardie, Mark Kendall, and Audie Desbrow. Now in 2009, the band shows no signs of slowing down as they announce the release of yet another new album titled Rising. The album will be released by Frontiers Records on March 13, and just like the classic Back to the Rhythm, you can expect Rising to deliver that unique Great White sound. The band has spent the past few months recording the album in the studio with their new bass player, Scott Snyder. According to keyboardist/guitarist Michael Lardie, “The new album was an extension of the affection we have for playing music together.”
Singer Jack Russell said “The band is in great shape and everyone is excited about the new year. We can’t wait to tour and play some of the new music live. Our new bass player Scott Snyder is a great guy and can really play. The stuff he wrote to our new music is awesome!”
Great White delivered a fantastic live performance last year at the Moondance Jam, and their creative energy will only make the shows get better and better. Look for this band on the road in 2009, they are not to be missed!
