Haven’t had your fill of the loudest rock show on earth yet? If so, there’s good news: AC/DC is planning a return trip to the United States beginning in Foxbourough, Massachussetts on July 28 and stretching into September. The band played 42 shows in America over the fall and winter of 2008/9, most of which were sold out, and all of which were filled with thousands of devil horn wearing fans. Black Ice, the album behind the tour, has already sold an astonishing six million copies worldwide after debuting at #1 in 29 countries. Standing at double platinum in the US, the upcoming tour is sure to be another big success. Before their return, however, there are still dozens of shows to be played overseas in stadiums all over Europe.
Meanwhile, Australia is still awaiting the return of AC/DC to their homeland, which is almost certain to happen before the tour completely wraps up. The Stiff Upper Lip tour in 2001 followed a route very similar to that of the Black Ice tour, except it brought the band to Aussie territory much earlier. Nonetheless, the band is sure to make it worth the wait when the time does come. As for now, there is no end in sight as Brian, Angus, Malcolm, Cliff, and Phil continue to give it their all each and every night. All the gaps in the tour schedule below can only mean one thing: the Rock ‘N’ Roll Train is showing no signs of stopping.
