Joe Perry had this to say about the upcoming collaboration between the two bands: “I have always been a huge fan of ZZ Top. I toured with them with the Joe Perry Project, and those shows were unforgettable. With ZZ Top on this bill, it will definitely kick us into overdrive.” Stretching into four months, the tour will surely be one of 2009′s most profitable.
Those keeping track of the new supergroup Chickenfoot will be happy to learn that the band’s first set of tour dates in America are approaching much sooner than anticipated. In exactly a month the band, consisting of Sammy Hagar, Joe Satriani, Michael Anthony, and Chad Smith, will embark on their debut tour. Playing intimate theaters to get acquainted with each other and the audience, these shows are not to be missed.

One last tidbit of information. It was unofficially revealed last week that yet another package tour will be taking shape for the summer: Yes and Asia. In addition to the Moondance Jam on July 18, it has become known that the duo will also be playing at the Mountain Winery in Saratoga, California on July 3. Both bands are still quiet on this impending tour, but when silence is broken you will find the latest here.
