More Dates from Journey, AC/DC

Journey/ACDC

Journey‘s summer tour schedule for the United States is coming together quite nicely. After touring Europe, the band will be playing a mix of festivals, large arenas, and fairs in America during the second half of the summer. Journey will surely be exposing themselves to a huge number of fans this year – quite possibly breaking last year’s milestone of over 700,000. Singer Arnel Pineda has brought a new energy into the band, and has helped to propel them straight to the top in terms of both record and ticket sales. 2008′s Revelation was a huge success, and the band is likely at work on yet another studio project. The tour kicks off at one of America’s greatest rock festivals, the Moondance Jam, and the rest of the dates are listed below. There are still gaps in the schedule, but I wouldn’t expect them to remain for very long.

July 16, 2009 – Walker, MN – Moondance Jam

Tickets are selling out fast for AC/DC‘s anticipated return to North America this summer. The Australian rockers will be playing a mix of 15 arenas and stadiums on the east and west coats of the United States, as well as in Canada. The late August Canadian leg in particular, which includes four football stadiums, is quite impressive by the numbers. Seating an average of 40,000 at each stadium, these shows will be huge. An organizer for the Regina, SK performance had this to say: “It’s a huge stage. The production is on par with the Rolling Stones shows we had here. This is the kind of show Regina has been waiting for since the Stones. This show is worthy of a football stadium.” If you haven’t been to a show on the Black Ice tour yet, you certainly owe it to yourself to find a ticket for one of these shows.
