There is much in the way of touring news to report for this week, starting with the Ronnie James Dio fronted Heaven & Hell. With a new album in The Devil You Know, and a new single in “Bible Black“, the band’s 2009 “Wicked World” outing was bound to end up in the United States. Indeed it now is revealved that North American fans will be able to partake in the head-banging and devil horn making when the tour hits the continent in August with opening act Coheed and Cambria. There’s an endless set of metal classics to be played at these shows; last year’s Metal Masters Tour saw the quartet performing a more abbreviated set alongside Judas Priest, Testament, and Motorhead, but on this tour with just one headliner and one opener on the bill, it’s impossible to tell what songs may be thrown into the set list. The band’s shows this year are sure to be spectacular throwbacks to the very best of classic metal in the vein of Dio-era Black Sabbath. You can watch the video for the new single at this link, and be sure to check and see if your city is on the list of stops below.

Fleetwood Mac has launched a new website on the wings of their ongoing Unleashed tour, you can view it at www.fleetwoodmac.com. More tour dates have been added for June including stops in Winnipeg, Milwaukee, Baltimore, Nashville, and even a night at Madison Square Garden on June 11. The rigors of the tour have apparently caught up with Stevie Nicks, who has been quoted as saying the tour has been “horrific,” and with only a few days off, it “nearly killed all four” band members. That may be a bit of an exaggeration, but nonetheless promoter Live Nation has given the band a few more breaks in their latest schedule. Take a look at the remaining dates on the American leg of the tour at Pollstar.
