A little while back I made mention of a forthcoming Journey DVD, and today there’s even more in the way of live DVD news. According to those on scene at the UK’s Download Festival, Def Leppard singer Joe Elliot revealed to the crowd that they were being filmed for a release. Until that time arrives, you can pick up “Crossroads: Def Leppard and Taylor Swift“, which is in WalMart stores as of yesterday. This performance, which aired late last year, featured Leppard tracks “Hysteria” and “Pour Some Sugar on Me“, and Swift songs like “Love Story” and “Picture to Burn“. The first date on the Def Leppard, Poison, and Cheap Trick tour is June 23 in Camden, NJ.
If you’ve been watching TV lately, or cruised the aisles at Best Buy, it’s likely that you’ve encountered some Chickenfoot advertising. The band is being heavily promoted with TV ads and appearances, and their deal with Best Buy has certainly paid off: many stores have sold all their copies of the debut CD, which emerged on the Billboard 200 at #4 last week. They may be off in Europe supporting the album now, but starting in August you can catch them on tour in North America, and playing the new album in its entirety.
