Tommy DeCarlo grew up listening to the Boston classics, so when the Utica native took off his orange Home Depot apron and stepped behind the microphone for a 54 date tour as a lead singer for his favorite band last year, it was a rock dream come true that landed headlines across the world. He soon impressed fans and critics alike with his vocal talent, and his genuine love for the music he sang made him a fast crowd favorite. What first came as an idea to pay tribute to the late Boston singer Brad Delp developed into a new fast-paced lifestyle in the world of rock and roll. While the touring madness may be over for now, DeCarlo has plenty of new projects keeping him busy and looks forward to future work with Boston.
Only through the internet could Tommy’s story have unfolded, and he is deeply grateful to everyone who helped make it happen. It’s hard to imagine helping people find home improvement supplies one day and stepping out on stage as a rock frontman the next – but that’s exactly how the story goes. It is with great pleasure that I present an interview with one of music’s newly discovered talents, Tommy DeCarlo.

Great interview with Tommy DeCarlo Matt! Have you seen the Steve Miller dvd Live in Chicago? I just recently got it via Netflix and I really enjoyed it. He still looks and sounds great.
Thanks Kris! I haven’t seen Steve’s (somewhat) new DVD yet, but I’ve heard good reviews. He’s doing a pretty long tour this year.
