The Bee Gees Stage Comeback

The Bee Gees Mythology, bee gees tour, bee gees reunion, bee gees sunday morning, bee gees tour 2010, bee gees new tour, bee gees comeback, barry gibbWith an appearance this morning on CBS’ Sunday Morning program, someone should just come out and say it. The Bee Gees are Back.

Barry and Robin Gibb were more than devastated by the sudden death of brother Maurice Gibb six years ago, so much so that they swore off the possibility of ever touring again as Bee Gees. Now however, time has served to heal the wounds, and the two brothers are back in tune with each other once again. On ‘Sunday‘, cameras entered as the duo sang an “To Love Somebody” and “Words” – and it was clear that something special is happening.

They have been rehearsing together at Barry’s home studio in Miami, although it’s not known yet as to where the rehearsals will lead. Over the years, the band’s unique history has seen plenty of comebacks and a handful of heartbreaks along with their 200 million in record sales. 1997 saw a return of The Bee Gees on a grandiose scale; their “One Night Only” performance turned into a worldwide tour in front of millions.

To the delight of the band’s fans – dedicated and casual alike, it appears that another rebirth for the timeless music of the Brothers Gibb is in order. “It’s time for us now, to move on. Without ever letting go of Maurice,” stated Barry. In March, you can celebrate the band’s remarkable journey with Mythology: The 50th Anniversary Collection – a 4-CD boxed set that contains one disc for each Gibb brother.
