AC/DC‘s Black Ice World Tour is preparing to enter its third calendar year. The thundering Australian rockers have been shaking arenas and stadiums all night long, for over 100 shows. For the moment, Brian Johnson, Angus Young and the gang are taking a break for the holiday season after going out on a high note with 3 sold out shows at the River Plate Stadium in Argentina where nearly 200,000 gathered to scream, jump, and pound fists for their rock heroes.
But the madness is far from over. The boys are preparing for a homecoming of sorts in January, with over a dozen shows in Australia and New Zealand. And you guessed it – record breaking crowds are expected for these gigs. Just a few days after that stint down under, Japan is next on the radar for 3 more shows including two at the Saitama Super Arena just outside Tokyo.
A European tour commences in May and June – and then the band returns to the United States to make up a series of five shows that were postponed just a few months ago due to an illness that singer Brian Johnson has since recovered from. Those dates can be found below, and our review of an earlier stop on the Black Ice tour is at this link.
