There’s a happy ending after all to the shocking stage fall that ended brought Aerosmith‘s 2009 tour to a halt. America’s Greatest Rock Band is making a big return to its stomping grounds this summer in a highly anticipated tour spanning from coast to coast.
Steven Tyler has been on the mend ever since taking a tumble in concert at the Buffalo Chip in Sturgis last August. A “summit meeting” this past February apparently healed the rift, with Joe Perry saying, “All it took to get things back on track was a simple conversation between Steven and I.”
Now he’s back with his bandmates, and the group of five is ready for some serious rock and roll. There’s still no specific word on what will become of last year’s promised album, but for now the news of a tour is plenty for fans to get excited about.
“The atmosphere in the [rehearsal] room is just incredible. Everyone in the band is at the top of their game, including Steven whose singing is awesome. He also looks great, ” Perry continued.
Perry also spoke with optimism about new material to Classic Rock Magazine, saying, “We owe it to ourselves first and foremost to make a great record, and we owe it to the fans, too. Now that we’re all on the same page, and without the medical issues that held us up, we’ll give ourselves plenty of time and do things the way we used to, which is how our best work was done.”
