Stone Sour Signed for Sturgis at the Chip

Founder and lead vocalist Corey Taylor, (also lead singer for Slipknot) founded the band in 1992. Taylor is one of the most sought-after rock vocalists, having also worked with Apocalyptica, Avenged Sevenfold, Soulfly and Anthrax.

The band’s self-titled album contained the hit “Brother” which was featured on the Spider-Man soundtrack.  Their upcoming album “Audio Secrecy” is scheduled for release in September. And, their album “Come What(ever) May” was met with significant critical acclaim and included the hit “30/30-150.”

Stone Sour joins a long list of names already scheduled to play at the Best Party Anywhere. ZZ Top, Kid Rock, Scorpions, Disturbed, Orianthi, The Guess Who, Tesla, The Doobie Brothers, Drowning Pool, Buckcherry, and Creedence Clearwater Revisited will hit the main stage over the spread of a week, but that’s not all. Special entertainment from Pee-wee Herman will be provided for campers and rockers at the Buffalo Chip on August 8 and 9.
