Fans have been clamoring for a reunion of Dokken‘s most popular lineup for over a decade, and rumors of such a project flourished last year when singer Don Dokken and guitarist George Lynch appeared together on VH1 Classic’s That Metal Show. But now it appears that a reunited Dokken just isn’t in the cards. Lynch recently released the following statement:
“We feel it’s important to let folks know there will be no Dokken reunion in the foreseeable future, if ever. This is Don’s decision, despite Jeff’s and my best intentions and efforts over the past few years to make this happen in good faith. My apologies to VH1, Eddie Trunk, Steve Strange and all the fans who were pulling for this to happen.”
But Lynch won’t be sitting around for long. The Grammy nominated guitarist is planning to tour once again with his bandmates from the Lynch Mob in 2011. Tour dates are listed below for a lineup that includes original singer Oni Logan, bassist James Lomenzo, and drummer Brian Tichy.
